Description
Christmas Moss gets its name from the way its branches grow in neat, symmetrical layers—like little aquatic pine trees. This moss brings a dense, structured texture to your aquarium and looks stunning when grown on driftwood, rocks, or mesh. Compared to Java Moss, it grows more slowly and stays a bit more compact, making it ideal for precise aquascaping or bonsai-style tree builds.
It’s also a haven for shrimp and fry, offering shelter and biofilm in its bushy fronds. A perfect choice if you want that "underwater forest" vibe.
Care and Planting Directions
Attach to hardscape with thread, mesh, or glue. Christmas Moss prefers cooler temps and slower flow than Java Moss but is just as undemanding. Keep light moderate and trim occasionally to encourage that signature layered look. CO₂ isn’t required, but it can help keep growth dense and vibrant.

Christmas moss - Cup is packed, and looks very green. All plants I've bought from here have excellent quality that never disappoints. Currently this is my 4th order, and i keep coming back for more. They're quick to send out your order too which is much appreciated. Across distance all the way to California too.

Great Plant
Very happy with my purchase. Healthy plants. They are doing great so far. It's been three weeks since I got them, and they are already growing. Very good price and fast shipping. I have been purchased plants before from this store, and I will be back when I need more plants!!! Better quality and better prices than my local mom and pop fish stores. Thank You!!!
