This cholla was collected from Southern Nevada in a natural (no chemicals used in the area, etc) area. It has not been treated in any way and contains no thorns.
Cholla is a great addition to your aquarium containing plecos and/or shrimp. Wood eating plecos love to rasp on this. Shrimp love to hide and forage off it as well.
**Since cholla comes from the great outdoors, each piece will be unique--so various coloring, knots, curves, etc. should be expected.
To prepare the wood before placing in an aquarium or pet habitat, boil it or soak it in hot water for a day to remove any debris that may be present, reduce excess tannins and to make the wood sink.
Cholla cactus wood is a soft wood 3" and 6" in length with diameters ranging about 1/2" - 1 1/4" .
