- Medium light plant
- Easy care
- Can be tied or glued to wood or stones
Java Fern is an easy epiphyte plant. Great for a low tech tank.
One of the greatest attributes of Java Fern is its versatility in placement. Unlike many other aquatic plants, Java Fern is not a strict root feeder. It can be attached to rocks, driftwood, or any other hardscape element in your aquarium. Its rhizome, the thick horizontal stem from which leaves emerge, should be anchored rather than buried. This feature allows you to create a beautiful natural aquascape and gives you the freedom to experiment with various aquarium designs.
This plant is extremely undemanding and will grow best tied to rock or wood. Light isn't an issue as this plant will grow well in both low lighting and high lighting tanks.
